  2. Biography Singapore - Officially the Republic of Singapore, is a Southeast Asian island city-state off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, 137 kilometers (85 mi) north of the equator. An island country made up of 63 islands, it is separated from Malaysia by the Straits of Johor to its north and from Indonesia's Riau Islands by the Singapore Strait to its south. The country is highly urbanized with very little primary rainforest remaining, although more land is being created for development through land reclamation.   5. Famous Music Singapore has an urban musical scene, and is a centre for rock, punk and other genres in the region. The 1960s produced bands like The Crescendos with hit songs like "Mr. Twister". The Quests, who had hits like "Shanty", "Don't Play That Song", "Jesamine" and "Mr. Rainbow". Naomi & The Boys, with a household hit song "Happy Happy Birthday Baby" as well as other pop-rock bands including The Thunderbirds, The Trailers, The Western Union Band, October Cherries and The Silver Strings.

Famous Musician Ken Lim (born 1964) is an album producer, composer, publisher, artist manager and concert promoter from Singapore who came under the spotlight in 2004 as a chief judge of the Singapore Idol series. Ken has appeared in numerous magazine covers and press articles and is a respected & well known all rounder entertainment icon in the Singapore music industry. Known to excel not only in one but in many areas of the music and entertainment industry. Famous on being very particular on the delivery on his task, he has had more than two decades of significant contribution with regards to the development of Singapore's pop culture.

  8. Architecture Republic Plazais one of the three tallest skyscrapers in Singapore, located at the Southern end of Raffles Place in the Downtown Core, the central business district of Singapore. It shares the title of "tallest building" with the OUB Centre and UOB Plaza One. Built at 280 meters (919 feet) tall, it was completed in 1995, and incorporates earthquake proof features despite the city being relatively far from earthquake zones.

Singapore’s Cuisine • Singaporean cuisine is indicative of the ethnic diversity of the culture of Singapore which originated from Malaysia, as a product of centuries of cultural interaction owing to Singapore's strategic location. The food is influenced by the native Malay, the predominant Chinese, Indonesian, Indian, Peranakan, and Western traditions (particularly English and some Portuguese-influenced Eurasian, known as Kristang) since the founding of Singapore by the British in the nineteenth century. Influences from other areas such as Sri Lanka, Thailand, Philippines, and the Middle East exist in local food culture as well. In Singaporean hawker stalls, for example, chefs of Chinese background influenced by Indian culture might experiment with condiments and ingredients such as tamarind, turmeric, and ghee, while an Indian chef might serve a fried noodle dish. With a variety of influences from different countries, it is suffice to note that the globalization phenomenon affects the cuisine in Singapore as well.

Universal Studios Singapore is located in the Resort World Sentosa, which includes the Integrated Resort has just opened officially in April of 2010. Each set foot in the various zones, you will experience a different feel. Universal Studios Singapore is divided into 7 zones, Madagascar, the Palace of Far Away from the world of Shrek was the first in the world, The Lost World where you can find a world of dinosaurs and Water world, Ancient Egypt - a world full of ancient Egyptian mummies, Sci-fi - a futuristic city and the last two zones of the theme of a famous city in America that is Hollywood and New York.  Universal Studios Singapore has over 30restaurants and food carts, together with 20 unique retail stores and carts located around the park.

  13. Singapore Zoo Singapore Zoo is one of the major tourist attractions in Singapore. Supplemented by thousands of rare animals make kids would love to see the uniqueness of each animal that they had never seen their lifetime. At the time the sun began to set, you can enjoy a different atmosphere at the Night Safari. Singapore Zoo also provides a vehicle for children's play Rainforest Kid world. Wave of lively children waiting in the water play area, with themes such as wildlife parks wet dream! For the game more exciting, young and old can ride to the animal-themed carousel. This zoo has a different concept from other zoos. With open cages, all animals can live like in their natural habitat. You will see lions under a grove of trees, polar bears and Pygmy Hippos

Sports- Horse Racing An active lifestyle is very much a part of the Singaporean way of life, and this includes a local soccer league, dragon boat races, and the wildly popular Singapore Seven rugby tournament. One of the popular watching activities is the sport of kings, which has had a long history in Singapore, beginning in 1842 with the formation of the Singapore Sporting Club by a group of horse racing enthusiasts. In 1924 the organization became the Singapore Turf Club, and its racecourse grounds have been used for a diverse array of activities including polo matches, and even the landing site of the first aircraft on the island. Today the club’s home is in Kranji, and is host to the Singapore Airlines International Cup, which is part of the prestigious World Series Racing Championship.
