Complexity of Population Ours and Theirs 6 The real question is not can the DI be taught to understand, appreciate and use the new capabilities but rather will he ever understand the motivation. The story of the trip to a restaurant is used here to explain that DI would never write a review they do not see the internet and world wide web as a place to contribute to but rather draw from. The two groups see the process in very different lights. Highlight any significant changes from the AWG that might re-direct the focus of this targeting cycle. The S3 or Plans Officer should take a few moments to quickly review the BCT campaign plan. 11. 11 3-7 IN Cordon and Search: On 10 NOV, A/3-7 IN conducted a cordon and search in West Rasheed IOT capture brigade targets associated with attacks on ISF and CF. Once the cordon was established, three local national males fled their home and attempted to evade capture. One LN male was found on the roof of an adjacent house, and two others ran through neighboring yards before being captured. The patrol searched their residence and found 1032x 7.62mm rounds, 2x AK-47s, 7x magazines (full), 1x 9mm pistol, 1x 60mm mortar sight, site surveying equipment, 1x gas mask, various US vehicle BII (new), 2x cell phones, American-issued cots, a care package addressed to a US Soldier, an address book with names and phone numbers from Fallujah and the Anbar province, 3x stolen license plates, and a Ministry of Oil ID card. 3/3 ACR Cache Discovery: 07 NOV 05, a dismounted patrol from 3/3 ACR observed a LN male running away from their patrol vic Route Corvette. The patrol searched the area and discovered 2x rockets, 4x mortar rounds, 1x RPG round, 1x 120mm rocket launcher, 1x homemade RPG launcher, 15x RPG motors, 1x 81mm mortar tube, 1x 60mm mortar tube, 1x sniper rifle, various detonators, det cord, and homemade pressure plates hidden under haystacks in the surrounding field. 3/3 ACR Air Assaults (Thunder Blitz): Both operations DRY HOLES. 4-64 AR Humanitarian Assistance: FSC/4-64 AR with 1/A/425 CAT, and the Karradah District Council distributed various toys, games and clothing to children of the Al Ra Jaa Institute for Handicapped Children. The Karradah DC chairman, Dr. Mohammed Jaasim Al-Rubayi, requested the event for this school which provides assistance to children with special needs. 1-184 IN Horajeb Clean Sweep: Joint operation with 1-184 IN and 1/2 Commando. 30x Detainees, including 9x American targets. Detainees all allegedly part of various insurgent groups that have been targeting CF and ISF forces, including mortar attacks, emplacing IEDs, kidnapping, and murder. 6-8 CAV MEDCAP: 355 local nationals treated, 450 hygiene packs distributed, 400 Halal meals distributed, 3 wheelchairs, 350 bottles of water, soccer balls, pencils, flags, buttons, and blankets. The event was covered by 6 local newspapers and one local radio station. 1-76 FA: Conducts an average of 13 escort missions daily. Have conducted over 3400 escort missions since TOA. 703rd FSB: Supports 11 battalion-sized organizations and processes 1 out of every 12 requisitions (8%) in the CENTCOM AOR.3-7 IN Cordon and Search: On 10 NOV, A/3-7 IN conducted a cordon and search in West Rasheed IOT capture brigade targets associated with attacks on ISF and CF. 17. Intelligence Architecture Complexity ABCS is designed to share Intel dynamically. When all Intel is fed into the ASAS-L at the source, all ASAS-L data is automatically synched across the BCT. From there, ANY SIPR computer can access the ASAS-L Integrated Database through the ASAS-L Web Interface. Its a one-stop shop. CPOF can subscribe to ASAS-L SIGACTS as well as other ABCS systems. CPOF CAN publish SIGACTS, but they will often show up as unknown in other systems. this is because of graphic symbol incompatibility. The trade off is that CPOF can produce more detailed, descriptive SIGACTS. Its a matter of HOW the commander wants to see it. CIDNE is NOT the recommended method of choice for posting SIGACTS. Until a data bridge passes CTSF floor-testing, there will continue to be issues with passing CIDNE SIGACTS into CPOF through the PASS. That leaves two issues: Where do you input FM reports, patrol debriefs, company INSTUMS etc? How do you ensure that intelligence being produced from the systems on the left (BATS, Crystal, Analyst Notebook, Webportal) are being correlated? The danger of many systems and processes: higher chance of losing information; access to the right information is a guessing game; additional processes must be developed and followed, to alert the right people that the information is there; Chance for duplicating reports, Intel which complicates correlation Recommendation: Streamline the flow of raw Intel through the ASAS-L channels. Post consolidated reports to the WebPortal (GRINTSUM, INSTUM etc) that are built from info off the ASAS-L Integrated database. ABCS is designed to share Intel dynamically.
