  2. LOCATION OF DUBAI Dubai Is located in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) in the middle east. As you can see it is neighbours With Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia

  3. HISTORY OF DUBAI • 3000 BC was when the history of Dubai had begun! • Archaeologists said that the area has been settled from at least the bronze age due to their evidence • The European influence began in 16th century with Portuguese interest in the areas trade routes

  4. HISTORY OF DUBAI • During the 1950’s Oil was found on the land of Dubai • This discovery of oil made Dubai the rich and modern business centered city that it is today!

  5. CLIMATE OF DUBAI • Usually the climate in Dubai or any other country in the U.A.E is usually really hot in summer • Temperatures usually reach around 40o C in the summer • The average high temperature in the winter is around 23oC which you can see is quite high

  6. THE LAWS OF DUBAI THERE ARE 6 LAWS OF DUBAI WHICH YOU SHOULD NEVER BREAK! 1. Females and Males should dress appropriately 2. Cuddling, kissing, or holding hands is not allowed in the public 3. You have to take permission before taking a picture of someone 4. No drinking in public 5. Sharing private space with opposite sex outside of marriage or family is not allowed 6. No disrespecting of any religion

ATTRACTIONS IN DUBAI • Burj Khalifa – This is the tallest building in the world, not only is it the tallest building but it also has the worlds fastest elevator • Palm Islands – These beautiful islands are made by men! • Dubai Mall – This is the largest mall in the world! Its the size of 10 average malls in a country • Burj Al Arab- This is the worlds most expensive hotel and the only 7 star hotel!

  8. Some Fun Facts • Less then 20% of the population are actually locals, most of them are foreigners • In 1968 there were only 13 cars in the city according to records • The population has doubled since 1995!

Upcoming Events In Dubai • Modhesh World (20th June to 28th August) - Modhesh World features a host of themed games and fun activities for the entire family, and of course, everyone’s favorite mascot, Modhesh. Taking place in Dubai World Trade Centre. • Ramadan In Dubai (All of July) - Get a first hand insight into Islamic values, culture and heritage during the Holy Month of Ramadan in Dubai.
