HX5 Accomplishes Phenomenal Growth with PTAC Support • Laura Subel, from the Florida SBDC’s Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) provided invaluable support and assistance to HX5 throughout the application process for 8(a) certification. • Subel provided one-on-one counseling and guidance to HX5 during it’s course of business with federal, state and local governments.

As a result of the 8(a) certification and Ms. Subels assistance, HX5 was able to accomplish phenomenal growth within a year of being certified and continues to build upon it’s success. • In 2007, HX5 had 3 employees. By 2008, revenues had increased to over $2 million and by 2009, HX5 employed more than 50 people. • Since receiving 8(a) certification, the total current contract values to date have reached over $45 million. HX5 currently employs over 120 people supporting it’s customers mission in over 20 states and in more than 29 locations throughout the United States.
