  3. Destiny Library Manager • Everyone uses different aspects of Destiny • Destiny allows patrons to review books • At the elementary level, book reviews can be written, then copied into Destiny

  6. Destiny Book Reviews Setting up permissions: • Back Office Access Levels Patron • Check the boxes □ Submit library review ratings □ Submit library comments

  7. Creating Reviews Log in Catalog Title Review tab

  8. Creating Reviews • Click on “Add Review” • Select the star rating 1 – 5 Awesome • Type comments into the text box • Select options for student names in reviews: Back Office Site Configuration Catalog

  9. Approving Reviews • You should have rights to approve reviews. • When a review has been submitted, “Processing Needed” comes up on your screen at login. • Approve, edit or delete the review. • The review will appear on the “Reviews” tab of the title record in the Catalog.

Benefits Writing book reviews allows students to: • “respond to literary selections, connecting text to self/world/text” (LA.2.2.1.5) • “write communications” (LA.2.4.2.4) • “use language appropriate for different ocassions, audiences, and topics (LA.2.5.2.2) • “use appropriate available technologies to enhance communication (LA.2.6.4.1)
