  2. Project 1: Remote Skills Acquisition for Fire Investigators Aims: Deliver training for Fire Investigators on-line and Assess Fire Investigation skills in the field via live streaming video link using the NBN

Project 2: Enhancing Fire Investigation Skills Nationally Use innovative technologies to create an interface that combines 360 degree ISRAPS photography, video footage and fire modelling (Computational Fluid Dynamics) in a capstone learning and assessment tool Development of a simple application that can calculate fuel loads using a simple drop and drag mechanism

  4. Both projects aimed to trail high speed broadband to deliver training and skills assessment on-line. NBN e-Learning programs

  6. What we did • 10 learners from rural and regional NSW engaged in eLearning • PUAFIR501B Conduct fire • investigation and analysis • activities

  7. Assessment day • Learners in Armidale assessing the scene • Video footage fed live to Kiama via NBN • Video footage being fed to a CIT assessor in Brisbane via mobile broadband using Cisco Jabber software • Two way discussion between learner and assessor
