  3. P.E CLOTHING For your convenience the official Hilltop High P.E clothes are $24 and locks for $6 available at the ASB store to purchase.

  4. Not Acceptable P.E Tops No low cut shirts such as v-necks and low swoop or tank tops. No “Do It Yourself” alterations.

  5. Required P.E Clothing Top Plain gray crew neck shirt with sleeves

  6. NOT Acceptable P.E bottoms No High cut shorts: shorts need to be at least 2 fingers above the knee. Colors other than black.

  7. Required P.E Clothing Bottoms Black Shorts Or Black Sweats

  8. NOT Acceptable Footwear Flip Flops, Uggs, boots, Cleopatra sandals, flats, moccasins & toms.

  9. Required Shoes Closed toed sneakers with good arch support and tread, firmly adhered to the foot.

  14. No Key, Alpha or 5 Tumbler Locks

  15. Required Lock Combination lock with numbers. Masterlock brand lasts longer.

  16. Electronics • Cell phones, iPods, or mobile devices are not allowed during class. • Warning: Electronics will be confiscated by teacher and turned into front office for parent to pick up AFTER school. • Refusal to turn over electronics to teacher when asked will result in an office referral.

  17. Curriculum Student performance in high school physical education courses shall be based upon evaluation of the student’s individual progress, attainment of goals in each instructional area, tests designed to determine skill and knowledge, and physical performance tests (5 CCR 10060/AR 5121{e}).

  19. Activities Covered 9th grade 10th -12th grades Team sports such as volleyball, team handball, and basketball. Etc Gymnastics & tumbling Combatives (self defense or wrestling) • Individual & Dual sports such as badminton, tennis, track & field. Etc • Aquatics • Rhythms and dance

  20. Online Grading System • All students will be assigned a user log on and password. • It is the responsibility of each student to regularly check their progress in their p.e class on Jupiter Grades. Link: www.jupitergrades.com

  21. Grading • Scholarship grades are dependent on student assessments such as fitness plans, written reports, written quizzes, & Fitnessgram Components to name a few. Click to find the HTH PE Syllabus • Citizenship grades are dependent on attendance, suiting up in proper uniform, following rules and interaction with others. A tardy in physical education may be earned when a student is not at roll call when the bell rings or is late to exit the locker room after changing. Click to find the Citizenship Rubric

  22. Illness • A parent note excusing a student is valid up to 3 days. • Medical excuses for longer than 3 days require a Doctor’s completion of the Sweetwater standard medical excuse. Upon return, student must clear excuse with Hilltop High nurse. • In compliance with district policy, medical excuse notes from Mexico will not be accepted.

  23. Clearance of Nonsuits,Tardies, and/or Unexcused Absences • Nonsuits, tardies and/or unexcused absences must be cleared with the teacher to avoid citizenship grade deductions. • Students will need to see their teacher for directions on how to clear nonsuits, tardies and/or absences.
