Comparison of Monosaccharide Composition Calculations: Traditional vs. MSAC Metric

This study presents a detailed comparison of monosaccharide composition calculations using two approaches: the traditional method, which calculates composition as (Residue Intensity) x 100 / Total Intensity, and our innovative MSAC metric, calculated as Σ(No. of Residue x Intensity) x 100 / Total Intensity. By examining the results from a sample, we highlight the differences in outcomes between the two methodologies, showcasing the potential advantages of the MSAC metric in accurately capturing monosaccharide profiles.
