  2. Program Features • Web-based communication tool • All-in one program: • Student information • Attendance • Grading • Teacher planning • Communication (email) • Web posting of all the above

  3. What is new? • Parents/students view only their own information—no need to “sift” • Teachers post assignments online • When contact information changes—submit changes online, we will verify • Report cards will be posted, not mailed

  4. Implications • Students are responsible for staying current • When students are absent, they should check online for their assignments • Teachers and the school will hold students accountable

  5. Special Features • Student calendar • Attachments to assignments • Student directory

  6. How will this happen? • Email notification—parent, student IDs and passwords • Download support document • Implied consent • Verify your information • Change your password online • No need to come to the school for IDs etc

  7. When will this happen? Next steps: • Verifying data (school admin) • Configuring the Parent Portal • Creating all IDs • Send out IDs by email (target date mid-to late September)

  8. What can parents do? • Give teachers some breathing room—they are learning a new program! • Remind your sons that students are responsible for staying current • When your son is absent, he should check online for their assignments • Remind your son that teachers will hold students accountable
