  7. We all communicate in different ways and good communication can help communities work well together. Having your say can help contribute to the local community and to the local strategic partnership. Every individual in Burnley has the opportunity of being involved.

Urban Community Participation Project Burnley Action Partnership Local Strategic Partnership Management Committee Burnley Community Network Management Committee Voluntary Organisations Legally constituted, Often as companies limited by guarantee and/or charities as informal, unincorporated societies Youth Interests These include ‘uniformed groups’, Youth Theatres, Youth Councils, Local youth groups, and many others Local Development Agencies Operating as umbrella organisations or service providers for the VCF sector. (Eg. Development Trusts, Co-operatives.) Community Groups Tenants & Residents’ Groups, as well as communities of interest. Such groups may be constituted but with no (or Limited level of) paid workers. Faith Communities Religious Bodies “Other Friends” (Sports, Arts, Music, Culture, Single Issue Groups) A category created for groups that do not readily fit with the other groupings

A Burnley that will become a place with a diverse and united community, a modern economy, a healthy, safe and clean environment and quality services which work together for the good of the public.”
