  2. Functions of the Respiratory system • The human respiratory system is a series of organs responsible for taking in oxygen and expelling carbon dioxide. • In terrestrial animals, this is accomplish by breathing. • The human body needs oxygen to sustain itself.

  3. Respiratory system and Circulatory system • The Respiratory system works with the Circulatory system because, when the respiratory system breathes the circulatory system circulates the air to the lungs, heart ect.

  4. Organs of the Respiratory system • The organs of the respiratory system are nose, larynx, trachea, bronchi, lungs, alveoli, etc. which carry out the process of respiration/breathing. • All these organs play an important role in supplying oxygen to the body and allowing its smooth function.

  5. Process of the Respiratory system • Takes in oxygen and releases carbon dioxide. • The respiratory system tract cleans, warms, and moistens air during its trip to the lungs • The nose has openings to the outside that allows air in.
