  2. facts • Sir Fred Hoyle was born June 24,1915. • He was home schooled until he was 11 years old. • He became an astronomer and was known for the “Big Bang” theory.

Science fiction • Hoyle wrote science fiction with his son. • He also wrote two autobiographies. • The first, “ The Small World of Fred Hoyle”.This was a short insight into his early years before the start of WW2. • The second, “Home is Where the Wind Blows”. This tells a story about the development of his academic career.

  4. others • Hoyle died when he was 86 years old on August 20, 2001. He died from a heart attack. • He loved to play the piano in his spare time.
