  6. What are connectors? • Convenient alternative to using the Web UI for uploading and editing C3 documents • Access files directly from Windows Explorer (My Computer) • Create documents in MS Office and manage them in Lotus Quickr • Take advantage of Lotus Quickr from Lotus Notes and Sametime

  7. System Requirements • Lotus Notes • Ver 7.0.3 or above • Lotus Sametime • Ver 7.5.1 or above • Microsoft Office • Office XP, Office 2003, or Office 2007 • Latest service packs • Windows Explorer • Windows XP, Windows 2003, or Windows Vista • Latest service packs

  9. Step 1 • Go to the Places link • Download and run the Lotus Quickr Connector installer https://wpqr1.adb.org/qkrconn.exe

  10. Step 2 • You should see a new icon in your system tray. • Add C-Cube sites using the Lotus Quickr Connector Monitor icon

  11. Step 3 • Connect to the C-Cube server where your C-Cube site resides http://wpqr1.adb.org abc 

  12. Step 4 • Check the sites you want to add

  13. Step 5 • On successful connection, you can now explore the rooms, folders, and documents as though they were stored in your local computer

  14. Windows Explorer Connector • Explore the C-Cube site using the familiar Windows Explorer interface • Open C-Cube files and folders like an ordinary file/folder • Upload documents without opening the browser

  15. Uploading and Editing C-Cube Documents

  16. Document Views • Enable views to sort documents according to tasks • View all documents you checked out without going through each of the folders and rooms

Microsoft Office Connector • Directly work with C-Cube documents using Microsoft Office applications • Perform various actions like: • checking in/out documents • approving/rejecting submissions • create links to C-Cube pages • The toolbar is available for Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  25. Document Versioning • Keep track of document revisions • Store backup copies of documents • Useful for non-Word files that don’t have the Track Changes feature • Works only for document created using the “Upload” form

  26. Accessibility • Allow visually-impaired users to participate in the C3 site • Special high-contrast skins and keyboard shortcuts • Read text using special software attached to the browser • The administrator or site manager can enable the accessibility feature on behalf of the user
