WATER ON MARS 2012 2 October Explanation: We can seetheremains of anancientstream. Ontherockswe can seetheerosionbythestream. ThisimagewastakenbytheroboticRoverCuriosity and in myopinionthisimageisveryinterestingbecausewethinkaboutifthereisorwaslifeonotherplanetssuch as Marsand ifwe are alone in theuniverse
AURORASIN GREENLAND 2012 3 OctoberExplanation: During the Shelios Expedition to Greenland sky watchers saw auroras colorful as picture. In the aurora we can see a head of a goat Cassiopea, Perseus, Pegasus, Pisces and Cygnus. The Shelios project exists to motivate students to consider a career in science such as astronomy. We can also see a farm house in Tasiusaq, Kujalleq. Greenland. This picture was made with a normal camera and I think that it is very wonderful and nice because we can see it with own eyes and this for me is more `real´.
THE LIFE OF THE STARS 2012 4 October Explanation: Seven hundred light years from Earth there is a sun-like star that is dying. Its last few thousand years have produced the Helix Nebula that is typical of this final phase of a star. We have studied this nebula for forty-eight years. The red dots are hydrogen atoms and the blue dots are oxygen atoms. This image was taken by the Hubble telescope. In my opinion this kind of image is very interesting because we can see as a star die.
ORION´S TRAPEZIUM 2012 6 October Explanation: At the center of theOrionnebulathere are fourhot and massivestars (fourwhitedots in thepicture) known as theTrapezium at 1,5 lightyearsbetweenthem.Scientists think that in the center there is a black hole to explainthe high velocities of the stars and this black hole is the nearest to the Earth. For me this picture is very interesting because we can know more about black holes and the consequences.
