  1. PREPARATORY FACULTY FOR FOREIGN CITIZENS

  2. Work with students from Asia, Africa, and Latin America has begun in 1986 when 49 students arrived from 21 countries for studying at specialty “Industrial and Civil Engineering”. Dean's office was created for organization of this work with foreign students and department of Russian language for foreign students. After break in work from 2002 till 2010 the academy initiated creating of preparatory faculty for foreign citizens and in 2011 the first enrolment for preparatory faculty was made. Students of preparatory faculty receive graduation documents if: •course of studying is not less than 10 months; •the training program is carried out; •final exams are passed. Training of foreign student is carried out on a contract basis, tuition fee is $ 1,200 per year.

  3. The complex system of educational work at preparatory faculty aimed at facilitating the adaptation of foreign citizens to the new environment of learning and living. Classes are held in bright, cozy and specially equipped multimedia classrooms.  All computer classes in which students can work under supervision of teachers and individual are equipped with modern computers with the latest software, which allows you to prepare highly qualified specialists. The Academy offers all facilities for comfortable stay of foreign students. Students' hostels are located at the territory of the academy.

Departments of DonNACEA directly involved in the preparation of foreign citizens have enough office space and facilities for research and teaching staff, specialized lecture rooms equipped with methodical visual materials, training for practical and seminars, individual and group work. Training of foreign citizens in DonNACEA made ​​from pre-university training to the level of PhD. Teachers involved in the preparation of international students participate in international conferences and seminars what help to expand the range of links with universities, international organizations and improve the level of students. The process of training and improvement of pedagogical skills of teachers is constant.

  5. In 2012-2013 academic year international students from Cameroon, Angola, Turkey, Tunisia and Azerbaijan study at the preparatory department of DonNACEA. Within 10 months students study Russian language, as well as courses on their chosen fields of study. At the end of the preparatory department foreign citizens have the opportunity to continue their education at any university of Ukraine and, firs of all, in our Academy.

  6. During study at the preparatory department and living in a dormitory with Ukrainian students foreign students find real friends, warm relationship, attention and support from both students and teachers.

  7. Training and education work carried out according to national circumstances, mentality, religion, culture, etiquette and living habits of international students. In the classroom teachers explain the rules of conduct, etiquette forms of communication that promotes cultural and linguistic adaptation of students to the new socio-cultural sphere. Considerable attention is paid to the conversations on the moral and ethical issues.

  8. Providing students with textbooks, study guides and reference books is 100%. Virtually the entire learning process is carried out on the basis of educational materials and practical tools, prepared by teachers of the preparatory department.

  9. At the preparatory department are hold educational events dedicated to familiarization with cultural and national traditions of the Ukrainian people, sightseeing excursions through Donetsk region, visiting stadiums, museums, theaters, exhibitions, etc.

  10. Themed activities, festivals, photo exhibitions are hold at the preparatory department.

  11. In the ethnographic museum "Svetlitsa" foreign students with great interest get to know about Ukrainian culture, styduing the traditions and customs of the Ukrainian people.

  12. Foreign students bring national souvenirs, which tell about the culture and life of the peoples of Russia, Mongolia, Nigeria, Uganda, Cameroon, Turkey, Japan, Israel, Greece, China, Tunisia, India, Egypt and other countries.

  13. Necessary documents for entering to the preparatory department and getting admission letter: • Secondary Education Certificate. • 2. Medical Certificate (certified by the Department of Health of a student's native country, and issued not later than two months before coming to Ukraine. • 3. Birth Certificate (copy). • 4. 12 color photos (3,5cm x 4,5cm). • 5. Medical Certificate with AIDS-test (HIV–negative). • 6. Insurance policy for the urgent medical aid.
