The Nervous System

The nervous system is crucial for gathering and interpreting information about both internal and external environments, comprising the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord) and the peripheral nervous system (nerves). Tourette syndrome, an illness characterized by involuntary movements and vocalizations, remains poorly understood with no known cause. Even more concerning, there is currently no medication or treatment available to help manage the symptoms effectively. For further insights, watch this informative video: http://www.brainpop.com/health/bodysystems/nervoussystem/.
