The Biomedical Working Group (BWG), chaired by Mike Celentano from Roche, aims to enhance the practical application of systems engineering best practices and standards within the biomedical sector. With around 35 active members, BWG engages in collaboration and knowledge-sharing through initiatives such as mapping biomedical terms to systems engineering frameworks and holding workshops on current best practices. The group also contributes to conferences and publishes papers that support the advancement of systems engineering in biomedical contexts.
