  4. How it has altered the course of human history • Emergence of cheap, mass-produced microchip makes computer cheap and common • Telecenters • Teleworking means conducting work on from a remote location • Rising number of self-employed workers and home-based business

  5. How the event still effects the world today (jobs sector) • Types of jobs available changing • Routine functions jobs vulnerable to job losses • Creative and non-standard ones likely to grow

  6. How the event still effects the world today( macro-economy) • Effects largely on macro-economy • Shortening of the “Product Cycle” • Reduction in “time to market” • Many goods and services become highly tradable
