  2. CITV - % Share by Year Children CITV average a 3.9% share of children in 2008, an increase of +0.5 share points year-on-year. CITV performed particularly well amongst 4-9 yr olds, it gained +0.8 points YOY to average a 5.0% share. Children 4-9

  3. CITV vs. Competitors – 2008 (0600-1800) Children CBBC and CBeebies remain the largest dedicated children’s channels although neither improved their audience YOY. Nickelodeon made gains in 2008 but CITV was the highest ranking commercial children’s channel. Children 4-9 Amongst 4-9s CITV was just a share point below CBBC and easily beat Disney Channel (+1.2pts) and Nick Jr (+1.4 pts).

CITV Channel Ranking – 2008 vs. 2007 (0600-1800) CITV remains the highest ranking commercial children’s channel for both all children and 4-9s, and has seen the 2nd biggest year-on-year improvement of the all the children’s channels (behind Playhouse Disney Plus which was launched in Nov ’07).

  9. CITV Top Programmes 2008(based on highest performing episode) Horrid Henry has been top of the class contributing to 21% of CITV’s ratings in 2008. My Parents Are Aliens has been a reliable ratings provider in 2008 with a top performance of 188,000 (10.9%). New programming has also made a strong impact with My Goldfish is Evil peaking with 184,000 children and a 12.2% share, Scary Sleepover’s top episode achieving 158,000 (8.7% share) and Emu’s highest rating episode topping 100,000 children viewers.
