WP2 - ICT for management of Smart Grids with Microgrids integration • WP Leader • KUL • Objectives • Survey and categorise the different ICT-approaches to smart grids management and their integration in the electric grid. • ICT/Technical issues • Tools and methodologies for optimization of voltage profiles, minimization of network losses, self-healing capability, parallel/islanding operation, adaptive protection systems, generation dispatching, energy storage, accurate island detection and fast re-synchronization, grid infrastructure readiness.
