LL.B Threshold Learning Outcomes (TLO’s) • Research skills - synthesise relevant factual, legal and policy issues • Communication and collaboration – for both legal and non-legal audiences; collaborate effectively • Self-management – learn and work independently; assess their own capabilities, use feedback and support personal and professional development

Principles of adult learning • Active participation: learners are actively involved in the learning process. • Meaningful participation: they can relate the material to their existing knowledge and experiences • Repeated practice: learning is supported by frequent opportunities to practice and apply new skills and knowledge • Holistic learning: grouping tasks together enables the learner to relate the training to actual practices

  5. Principles of adult learning • Multi-sense learning: two or more senses are used in the learning method. This is more effective than learning methods which only use one sense • Feedback: feedback is provided to reinforce the learning • Reward: rewards reinforce learning • Primacy and recency: people have a tendency to recall those things they have learnt first and last in a sequence
