To ensure everyone has a positive experience, please remember to call or send a note for absences, arrive on time, and participate actively while respecting others’ opinions. Maintain focus by keeping phones and food away and using computers only for educational purposes. Remember to stay at your desk until the bell rings.   1. Teacher: Mrs. Massecar Understanding Canadian Law – Classroom Guidelines

  2. Absences require a phone call on the day of the absence or a note. • Be present and on time. Attendance

  3. No hats. • Keep phones off and out of sight. • No food. • Keep audio players away during teaching times (including the start of all classes). • Washroom breaks will be limited, and require a hall pass. • At the end of the class, stay at your desk until the bell rings. Housekeeping

  4. Participation in class discussions is important! • One person speaks at a time. Listen when others speak • In some cases, I may call on someone without their hand up, so that we have a greater variety of discussion. • You do have the right to pass! • Respect the opinions of others! NO PUT-DOWNS. Participation in Class

  5. The “Acceptable Use” Policy will be followed, including: • Computer are to be used for educational purposes only. Stay off of YouTube, other video watching sites. • No Chat, downloading, or playing games • Students are limited to the use their OWN user account only. • Please make sure you have a computer use sheet signed and on file in the office a.s.a.p.
