  4. Election of 1932 • Beats President Hoover badly! • Electoral College Count = 472-59 (270) • Depression deepening • 25% un-employment • People looking for HOPE & CHANGE

  9. 2nd New Deal • Deficit spending began = spending more than you have creating debt • 2nd New Deal tried to right the wrongs of the first • Unions developed and began taking hold • WWII saves the day!!!!! Oddly enough….
