On February 25, 2005, Marta Topczewska presented an overview of PROFOREST activities, highlighting significant achievements in exchanges of scientists, workshops, and conferences. A total of 15 researchers visited the FRIW, while 11 traveled abroad. The second issue of the PROFOREST leaflet was published, showcasing objectives and plans for the coming year. Progress includes the delivery of a draft report to AB members, extensive advertising of events, and updates on the PROFOREST website. Challenges in clarity were noted, but with guidance from AB members, improvements are expected.

Overview of PROFOREST activity by Marta Topczewska Kraków, February 25, 2005
What has been done? • Exchange of scientists: 15 researchers have come to the FRIW and 11 from FRIW went abroad. • There were 4 workshops, 3 conferences and one school organized. There are two publications enclosed in your materials; one resulted from workshop organized in a range of task WP5.5 and second from WP3.2 activities. • The second issue of leafletwas printed which presents general PROFOREST objectives, our achievements until now and plans for 3rd year. Progress • The draft report was delivered to AB members week before the meeting. • It encompasses tables which make possible to compare plan with actual realization. • Cooperated institutions and individuals were pointed. • The web page of PROFOREST is up to date with actual and incoming events and occurring publications. Progress • Second issue of leaflet has been printed recently and its distribution is planned. • Carried out workshops and conferences have been advertised in well known web pages like IUFRO calendar of meeting. • The partners were chosen with bigger awareness. • Hmm…..I had some problems to be clear and brief in the report but I’m convinced that with AB members’ directions and tasks’ leaders help thesedifficulties will be overcome.
