GNAP Fast Facts Established in 2001 by The Ohio State University as informal educational and information sharing organization for graduate nursing admissions, recruitment and marketing professionals Became official member of AACN in 2006 GNAP meets annually in conjunction with NSNA’s Annual Conferences

  4. Our Mission To foster and enhance recruitment, admissions and marketing communications initiatives in Colleges of Nursing by sharing expertise, technical skills and experiences of GNAP members through AACN membership, annual conference participation and other communication and networking opportunities.

  8. Conference Committee Elaine Andolina and Cathleen Mumper Committee Purpose To plan and develop program content for the annual conference in conjunction with AACN and the GNAP Steering Committee

  9. Conference Committee Achievements Worked with Steering Committee/ AACN via monthly conference calls to determine program session topics & speakers Drafted conference brochure and theme Assisted AACN during conference

  10. Conference Committee Next Steps Recruit new committee members Evaluate 2009 conference surveys and implement program suggestions and requests Plan 2010 GNAP Conference

  11. Hospitality Committee Paddy Peerman and Jackie Min Committee Purpose Plan and implement social and networking opportunities for conference participants, enhancing overall conference experience

  12. Hospitality Committee Achievements Planned and implemented: Monday evening welcome reception Vanderbilt afternoon sessions, tour and reception Tuesday networking dinner Coordinated bus transportation

  13. Hospitality Committee Next Steps Recruit committee members to plan activities for 2010 Conference Recruit “local” Florida GNAP members to help plan hospitality events for 2010 Orlando Conference

  14. CommunicationsCommittee Susan Lipp Committee Purpose To develop and implement GNAP marketing communication initiatives to effectively position network among key audiences, enhancing AACN GNAP membership and conference attendance

  15. CommunicationsCommittee Achievements Created and issued e-mail blasts to promote conference Provided copy for AACN News Watch and website Provided consult on conference promotion

  16. CommunicationsCommittee Next Steps Solicit committee members for 2010 conference and activities Explore opportunities to increase membership and conference attendance Explore social media in network conference promotion: use of blogging, etc.

Sponsorship Committee Jane Dolan, Beth Aronson & Robin Hutchinson Bell Committee Purpose:Generate sponsorship/ funding for GNAP conference programming and activities Achievements:Garnered funding from J & J, Castle Branch, Joseph Silney and All Star Directories totaling $3,000 Next Steps:Maintain current sponsors for 2010, cultivate new & recruit GNAP committee members
