TPP (Trans-Pacific) • 12 Countries (Japan literally just got approval 2 days ago) • US, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Australia and New Zealand • Goal: complete by end of 2013 • Key problem areas: agriculture, IP, access to medicines, procurement, investment, labor rights.

  3. TTIP (Trans-Atlantic) • Basically, the US and the EU • FDA regulations vs. EMA regulations • AGRICULTURE: biotech, food safety, differing regs • Seeking to be done in 2-3 years • US trades more with EU than with China • REGULATIONS
