  3. Thomas Jefferson will hold an Open House Tomorrow, Oct 13th 8:30 – 11:30

  4. Reminder: Deadline for paper applications is Monday, October 15th. Deadline for online applications is Friday, October 19th. Please see Mrs. O'Brien with any questions

  5. Students, please do not wait until the online application deadline of Oct 19th. Once you begin your application, you will reach a point where you cannot go any further until Mrs. O'Brien verifies your math. Once that is confirmed, you will be able to log back in to complete the application process. If you wait until the last minute, Mrs. O'Brien may not get the notice in time to verify your math which will effectively disable your ability to complete the process and submit.

  9. You may be interested in a program called GIRLS TAKE CHARGE which is being offered at George Mason University tomorrow, October 13th.

  11. 6th Grade Ida Lee Fun Night October 13th from 8:30-10pm This event is just for our 6th graders--no sibs allowed.

  12. 6th graders will have the use of the pool and gym areas so bring your suits and wear your gym clothes. Pizza and snacks will be for sale for a small fee. The entrance fee is $4 per student.

  13. Auditions will be held today from 3:30 – 6:00. The audition schedule is posted outside of Mrs. Haberman's room.

  21. Recycle your old printer cartridges here and help raise money for Smart’s Mill.

  22. For every printer cartridge we recycle, we get $2.00 store credit at Staples. That can add up to a lot of school supplies for our teachers and staff!!!

  23. Grab your scissors and keep an eye out for the Box Tops for Education logo on the products you use every day. For every Box Top you clip, our school will receive 10 cents. That may not sound like a lot, but it adds up quickly.

  24. Bring your Box Tops for Education to your Focus teacher.  The focus group that collects the most will get a prize provided by the PTA
