  1. GAME NIGHT PREP Millie convinced me to give you guys something to review so here goes…

  2. TEST YOUR MEMORY Click on the next or the arrow button to reveal the answers but see if you can answer the question before you look at the answer!

  3. What happened to the language of the people at the tower of Babel? HINT: Genesis 11:7 • ANSWER: THEIR LANGUAGE WAS CONFUSED. • Recap:after they got off the boat they were supposed to “be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth” (Gen 9:1) but theywere disobedient. Instead they decided to “build for ourselves a city, and make a tower whose top will reach into heave, making for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the earth” (Gen 11:4) . They nixed God’s plan and came up with their own plan so God confused their language and forced them to move as He had originally instructed (Gen 11:9).

  4. Why did the chief priests decide they should kill Lazarus w/Jesus? HINT: John 12:9-11 • ANSWER: JEWS WERE BELIEVING IN JESUS AND WERE CONVERSTING TO CHRISTIANITY. • Recap:Everyone knew Lazarus was dead and buried. When they saw him alive they began to believe that there was more to this Jesus than just a rule breaker. He was proof that Jesus was the son of God.

  5. How long was the lame man waiting for a miracle at the pool of Bethesda? HINT: John 5:5 • ANSWER: 38 YEARS • Recap: the disciples couldn’t believe he was just sitting there waiting for the miracle to come get him. He needed to get up and be healed. The lesson for us is to know that God won’t do what we can already do for ourselves. Sometimes we have to take a step of faith and believe the miracle is waiting and all we have to do is take a step of faith!

  6. What was Jesus first miracle? HINT: John 2:9 • ANSWER: HE TURNED WATER TO WINE. • Recap:a wedding was probably the most elaborate event in those days. Wine was super important. Mary told Jesus the family needed help. He was at first reluctant but he did it. The servants were allowed to witness the miracle, those in the wedding weren’t there to see what he had done. Sometimes the servants (you and I) have the best seat in the house!

  7. What happened to King David’s daughter, Tamar? HINT: 2 Samuel 13:14 • ANSWER: SHE WAS RAPED BY HER ½ BROTHER AMNON. • Recap:Amnon was so taken by Tamar he felt “sick” with lust for her. He watched her intently as she baked, then took advantage of her and tossed her aside leaving her devastated with this shame. King David didn’t do anything about it. His inaction brought great devastation on his house when his other son decided to defend Tamar himself.

  8. Why did the dove return to the ark after Noah sent it out? HINT: Genesis 8:9 • ANSWER: THERE WAS NO DRY LAND FOR HER TO REST • Recap:Noah sent the dove out to determine whether or not the ground was dry. When the dove came back he knew the grund was still covered with water so they had to stay on the boat a while longer.

  9. How many times did God have to give Moses the 10 Commandments? HINT: Exodus 32:15-16, 19-20 • ANSWER: TWICE! • Recap:When Moses first came down from the mountain he discovered the people had created a golden statue and were worshiping a “false God”. In his anger he threw the stones on the ground and had to go back up to the mountain top for another 40 days for God to give them to him again. IF YOU CAN REMEMBER THIS RECAP THERE’S A 5 point BONUS:

  10. Why did the dove return to the ark after Noah sent it out? HINT: Genesis 8:9 • ANSWER: THERE WAS NO DRY LAND FOR HER TO REST • Recap:Noah sent the dove out to determine whether or not the ground was dry. 11. What is HUPOTASSO? HINT: Abraham and Sara • ANSWER: To arrange in an orderly manner; UNDER. It is the Hebrew word for SUBMISSION • Recap:Sara was a submissive wife and did all that Abraham asked her to do. This was God’s original order. A husband was submit to God and the wife would submit to her husband knowing that he heard directly from God. IF YOU CAN REMEMBER THIS RECAP THERE’S A 5 point BONUS:

  13. How many days was Lazarus in the tomb before Jesus called him out? HINT: John 11: 17 • ANSWER: FOUR • Recap:Back then the people believed that the spirit of a person dwelled in them until the 4th day. They remained hopeful that their loved ones could return based on this thinking. Jesus couldn’t call him out before then. The people would not have given God credit for giving him life. God’s timing is always perfect.

  14. Why did Jesus call Lazarus out of his tomb by his name? HINT: They were in a cemetery. • ANSWER: If Jesus had said “COME FORTH” in the middle of a cemetery everyone would have popped out of their tombs!

  15. What was King David’s FIRST SIN before his family fell apart? HINT: 2 Samuel 11:1 • ANSWER: HE WASN’T ON THE BATTLE LINE, WHERE HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE WITH HIS ARMY. • Recap:Had David been on the front lines and not dilly dallying at home he wouldn’t have seen Bathsheba at that window and wouldn’t have fallen into sin.

  16. How many days and nights did it rain while Noah was on the ark? HINT: Genesis 7:12 • ANSWER: IT RAINED FOR 40 DAYS AND 40 NIGHTS • Recap: God had searched the earth and found everything was evil. He grieved. It had only been around 1000 years since Adam and Eve were put on the earth. God found favor in Noah so he planned to wipe out the earth and start again by sparing Noah and his family. (Genesis 6:5-8)

HINT: Matthew 1 • ANSWER: RAHAB (A prostitute), RUTH (A Moabite who converted to Judaism), BATHSHEBA (Adulteress), • Recap: This is significant because we continually discount ourselves or disqualify ourselves from the royal inheritance God has for us.
