Scholarships $2,000 for full senior year $1,000 for semester, trimester, or 2 quarters Look at high scholastic achievements, faculty recommendation, extra-curricular activities, and clear plan for future achievement Begin Application Process Online at http://www.tbp.org/TBPAPPS/ Applications open November 1 Applications due March www.tbp.org/pages/About/Programs/Scholarship/Scholarship.cfm

Laureate Recognition of achievement in Arts, Athletics, Service, or Diverse Achievement $2,500 + Recognition at Convention Nomination includes nominee biography, 3 letters of reference, nomination letter from Advisory Board, and description of nominee’s contribution to liberal culture and TBP. Nominations due April 1
  4. Distinguished Alumnus Recognition for continually living up to eligibility code and fostering a spirit of liberal culture throughout their lives Recognition at Convention $2,000 scholarship given in name of recipient Nominations due February 1 http://www.tbp.org/pages/About/Programs/DistinguishedAlum/DistinguishedAlumnusNominationForm.doc.

Outstanding Advisor Recognition of Outstanding Performance as a Chapter Advisor $1,000 + Recognition at Convention $1,000 to Dean’s Discretionary Fund Nomination to include letters from Advisory Board, Dean of Engineering, and District Director, 1-3 page description of contributions of nominee to the chapter, and resume. Nominations due April 1
  6. McDonald Mentor Medallion + $1,000 + Recognition at Convention $1,000 to Nominating Chapter Nomination to include one page summary of achievements and contributions and two letters of reference. Nominations due April 1
  7. Awards Selected at Convention R.C. Matthews Outstanding Chapter Award Top award available to a chapter Must receive Secretary’s Commendation, Project Award, and Membership Award to be considered R.H. Nagel Most Improved Chapter Award Recognition of chapters that have made a substantial effort to greatly improve their chapter’s performance J.D. Froula Most Improved Membership Award Recognition of chapters that have made a substantial effort to greatly improve their chapter’s membership

Greater Interest in Government Grants for Public Oriented Projects Up to $750 Apply in advance of the project Proposals accepted throughout the year Proposals judged on Emphasis of engineering service to society Originality, innovation, and potential impact on local community Significant participation by chapter membership
  9. MindSET Grants Grants for K-12 Math & Science Projects Up to $1,000 Apply in advance of the project Proposals accepted throughout the year Proposals judged on Establishment of a MindSET Chapter Implementation Team (CIT) Consistency of project emphasis with MindSET goals and objectives Measurable impact of project on local community Involvement of active chapter members in project
  10. Member Participation -Financial Incentives Student Loans Loans are available in amounts ranging from $25 to $2,500. Repayment is required within 3 years, and the annual interest rate is 6%. Student Assistance Assistance to members who would otherwise be unable to remain in college. Long Term Care Financial Partners (LTCFP) Long Term Care Outreach and Education Program for members and their families. Program includes access to favorable rates on long-term care insurance from leading carriers.
