  1. Human Behavior Towards farts By Taylor Alford

  2. Question How will people treat me in an elevator in general compared to me being in an elevator farting? (fart machine) How does that affect their behavior?

  3. Abstract I got my idea from this video on Youtube but it had different settings. Like in the video they put a speaker in a bathroom that was connected to a fart machine and a mic. So when people heard the fart and a person talking they would have a reaction to it like oh gross who is that.

  4. Hypothesis If people hear the fart noises then they will react negatively.

  5. Experimental Procedure • Step 1: Brought my camera to the Mall of America and invited my friend. • Step 2: Went on a crowded elevator video taped how people treated me in general. • Step 3: Went on a different crowded elevator and made fart sounds, video taped it and say how people reacted towards me. • Step 4: compared and recorded my data from my videos.

  6. Experimental Variable Instead of just going into a crowded elevator and doing nothing I decide to make a different video and use a fart machine to see how people will react.

  8. Conclusion I found out that humans react to anything even if it’s a fake sound or not, and I think I have proved that right. I also concluded that if someone farts in an elevator people will quickly want to get out.
