  1. Lino cut • Lino cut is a print making technique. A design is cut into a piece of lino cut using a sharp tool. After you have carved you image or pattern into the lino cut you can then either print an image onto a piece of paper or tissue paper. The advantages of this is its cheap and easy to make and the disadvantage would be that its dangerous.

  2. Screen printing • This is a printing technique, that uses a wire mesh. This supports a blocking stencil to receive a desired image. The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfers ink or either printable materials which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp edged image onto a substrate. This can be used on t shirts cardboard and used for commercial advertisement. This cant be used in house holds and it gives a good finish to every product.

  3. Gravure • This is a type of intaglio printing process, which involves engraving a image on to an image carrier. • Its engraved into a cylinder because its flexible. This method of printing is best used for commercial printing of magazine. Post cards and product packaging. Clear and a good image, but its hard to do.

  4. Lithography • Is a method of printing originally based on the principle tat oil and water just don’t mix. Printing is from stone or a metal plate because it’s a smooth surface. Invented in 1796 in Germany. • This is good and expensive but hard to use.

  5. Laser printing • This is an electronic printing method. This is a quick and snappy printing method. This is used a lot because its quick and you van order in bulk. It’s a clear image and a easy method of printing. The disadvantage would be its expensive and takes up too much space.

  6. Photo copying • This is a great printing device quick and easy to use. • This is clear and easy to get bulk off so a lot of people would obviously use this in massive businesses. The disadvantage would be its expensive and to big for every house hold to have.
