  2. Breast Cancer Touches All of Us • Breast cancer is the second most common form of cancer to strike American women. One in 8 women will be diagnosed with Breast cancer in their lifetimes.

  3. Breast Cancer Touches All of Us • Believe it or not, breast cancer affects men, too. One in 100 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetimes. • It’s likely everyone in our advisory knows someone who has battled breast cancer.

  4. Let’s do the numbers • We have 1093 female Warriors. Statistically, how many could be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetimes? 137

  5. Let’s do the numbers • We have 1082 male Warriors. Statistically, how many could be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetimes? 11

  6. There are 2.8 million breast cancer survivors alive today in the United States. 6

  7. Good News on Breast Cancer • The survival rate has continued to go up since 1989—due to AWARENESS, EARLY DETECTION, AND RESEARCH THAT HAS LED TO MORE TREATMENTS.

  8. That’s Why We Wear Pink • We raise awareness – so you can help others and help yourself • We raise $ to support services to cancer patients and to support research • Student Store – selling T shirts • Cheer Leaders selling items at football game • Pink Out Saturday

  9. Pink Out Saturday • Come to PHS on Saturday, October 26 from 9am-1pm and support the fight against breast cancer.

  10. Pink Out Saturday • You can sign up as an individual or a team to collect pledges and walk our course—you can even sign up as an advisory class • PHS clubs, teams and classes will have games and food booths—just like a carnival

  11. Pink Out Saturday • All proceeds go to support thePink Ribbon Placeto provide support right here in Riverside County

  12. Show Your Support • Wear Pink on Friday, October 25 • Come to the football game Friday night against Jurupa Valley– let’s fill the stands with Pink!
