Thursday, March 10 • Objective: Student will understand concepts of summarizing scientific reading passages. • Focus: Read pages 488-490 and summarize the article. Use proper English and punctuation. This will be read and graded. It is not just a completion grade. Write it so that is will be interesting to read and will actually portray what occurred in this passage about the Colorado River Basin.
Friday, March 11 • Watched tsunami on CNN. • No notes. Only discussion.
Monday March 14 • Objective: SWU concepts of water usage and global water quality and quantity. • Focus: What is a capillary fringe? • You should have the drawing from page 479 in your notes. • Activity: Complete SG. Get vocabulary. • Wednesday, Vocabulary quiz • Friday, Chapter 12 Exam
Tuesday March 15 • Objective: SWU concepts of water usage and global water quality and quantity. • Focus: What is the relationship between dissolved oxygen and water temperature? Page 505 and 507. • Activity: Vocabulary Chapter 12 • Vocabulary Quiz tomorrow (Wednesday) • After completing vocabulary work on your study guide. • Chapter 12 exam Friday 40 questions. Multiple choice, true/false and fill in the blank. Study.
