  2. Eligibility Criteria: • Applicants must be a local public agency • Project specifically targets reuse • Commitment of matching funds

  3. Scoring Criteria: • #1) General Review Criteria (90 points) • Need (25) • Goals and objectives (20) • Work plan (10) • Evaluation (5) • Budget (10) • Application completeness (5) • Recycled-content purchasing policy (15)

  4. Scoring Criteria: #2) Preference Criteria (10 points) • Key Priority Wastes/Innovative Projects (7) • Projects targeting key priority wastes • Projects that are ground breaking and/or have a unique approach to reusing. • Projects that transform how daily business is conducted or structured. • Vocational/Job skills (3)

  5. Preference Criteria: Innovative Programs Kenter Canyon Charter School

  6. Evaluation Process: • GAU conducts initial completeness review • Panel of 3 staff review & evaluate applications • Panel discuss scores • Final scores are averaged and ranked • Board considers agenda item

  7. Options For The Board: • Direct staff to issue a Notice of Funds Available (NOFA) in accordance with the recommended approaches discussed in this item … • Direct staff to revise the eligibility and scoring criteria and evaluation process of applying funds; • Direct staff to bring the item back to the Board for subsequent consideration.
