  3. SLIDE 2, 3, 4 … – Contextual References • Present at least 3 different Contextual References from your project • Present a range of images from each reference • Explain the idea/concept of each artists work • Explain the materials, techniques, and processes used to produce this work • Explain SPECIFICALLY why they were strong influences for your project • ANALYZE the work of the artist (visual language) • Compare 3 images from references to 3 images of your developmental work - ANALYZE

  4. Slides 5, 6, 7 … Your shoots Materials, Techniques, Processes … • Explain the development of your project • Show us a selection of images from EVERY shoot you produced (the good, the bad, the ugly) • We don’t want to see fully edited images – we want to see the original and unedited images from shoots! • Explain what you were trying to achieve from each shoot – goals and action plans • Explain your use of materials, techniques and processes • Relate your work back to your references as often as possible – how did artists use of techniques influence yours?

  5. Slides 8, 9, 10 … Now, How did it all go and what went wrong? • Refer to your Reflective Journal and Group Critiques Emma’s or Liz’s from last year are good examples: http://emmaferrariphotography.wordpress.com/final-major-project http://elizabethjamesphotography.wordpress.com/fmp/ • Think about your original idea, timetable and plan • Now think about every shoot – specifically, what did you plan that what didn’t go as it was supposed to? • Quote SPECIFIC feedback from crits/reflective journals • How did you fix it? • Did it work? Was the fix better than your original plan? • How did you use peer feedback? Be specific

  6. Slides 11, 12, 13 … All of the Final Outcomes / Final Product of your FMP • Show us your final outcomes and … • Analyse them … • Review them … • Critique them … • Discuss visual language • Relate your work to a movement • Discuss strengths/weakness • What/Who is your intended audience for this work

  7. Slide 14 … The Show • Give us a DETAILED diagram/design of your ideal show space – draw or digitally design this • There is no guarantee that you will get what you want, but we will do our best • If you don’t do this, we’ll decide for you! Length: 84in (7 feet) x Height: 22in (1.67 feet) 4” gaps between images on length 2” gaps between images on height • You need to show us: • How many images will be on display • What total size (inches or cm) will each image be once they are framed/mounted • How would you display them on the wall • How much total wall space will they take up – we need an EXACT figure
