  3. WHY INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP? • What country is your shirt from? Have someone look at the label on your shirt and find where it was manufactured.

WHY INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP? • Manufacturing – More than 5 million manufacturing jobs have moved overseas in the last 30 years • Economy - Half of U.S. Debt owned by foreign countries • Energy - Nearly 60% of US oil supply imported from abroad • Public Health – Swine Flu (Asia-Mexico-US) • Immigration – 36% of NYC residents foreign born
