AHIMA Annual Conference • KHIMA representatives attended our annual AHIMA conference back in October where representing delegates were involved in planning the AHIMA vision over the next year. • Topics such as information governance, HIM’s involvement in IT and ICD-10 were among the hot topics. • The following individuals represented KHIMA: • Dawn Jackson, DrPH, RHIA, FHIMA • MeloneyMantsch, RHIA • Linda Darvall, RHIT • Kim Dudgeon, RHIT, CHTS-IS/IT, CMT • Evan Harmon, MHI, RHIA

  3. KHIMA 2014-2015 Election • The KHIMA Election is coming up. • The nominating committee has been hard at work selecting our nominees. • Voting beings on 04/27 at 12:00am EST • Voting ends on 5/10 at 11:59pm EST

KHIMA Annual Conference • KHIMA Annual Conference is June 5th and 6th at the Crowne Plaza in Louisville, KY. • Registration is available so if you are interested please visit KHIMA.org to register. • Contribute to the KHIMA Scholarship fund on the KHIMA Webpage! • KHIMA Distinguished Member Applications and KHIMA Scholarship Applications due May 1, 2014.

  5. RVHIMA Business • Fill RVHIMA President role. • Vote on donating to KHIMA Scholarship. • Continue having our mini-conferences at Baptist Health and our Fall and Spring Meetings at Wildwood Country Club? • Vote on RVHIMA logo.

  7. ICD-10 Delay and Advocacy • AHIMA and KHIMA has been advocating hard and participated in Hill Day 2014. Among the participants were: • Susan Carey, RHIT • Diba Thakali, MBA, RHIA • Sarah Adams, RHIA • Jennie Bryan is here to talk to us about advocacy and ICD-10 and how each and every one of us be an advocate for the field of HIM.
