Big Cypress National Preserve: • The Big Cypress National preserve is the famous national park in this state and it is located in southwest Florida between the cities of Miami and Naples. The visitor’s facilities and most activities originate from the Tamiami Trail. • Big Cypress National Preserve contains both the tropical and temperate plant varieties which are the home to a diversity of wildlife, including the elusive Florida panther. • This park protects over 720,000 acres of the swamp.
Biscayne National Park: • Biscayne national park is yet another national park in Florida. The park can be reached from either the Florida Turnoike or from US-1. • This park protects a rare combination of aquamarine waters, fish-bejeweled coral reefs and emerald islands. It also contains the evidence of 10,000 year of human history starting from pirates and ship wrecks to pineapple farmers and presidents. • It also contains outdoors entertainments such as boat, snorkel, camp, watch wildlife... or simply relax in a rocking chair gazing out over the bay.
Canaveral National Seashore: • Canaveral National Seashore is one among the national park of Florida. It is located in the midway on Florida’s east coast between Daytona Beach and Melbourne through US 1, I-95 and Fla528. • This Park includes pristine, dunes, undeveloped beach and lagoon offering sanctuary with all type of plants and animals. • The entertainments recreation includes fishing, boating, swimming, hiking and historical trails. There is no public transport in the park. • The park visitor may tour the park by their private vehicle.
Castillo De San Marcos National Monument: • The Castillo de San Marcos National Monument is found in the downtown St.Augustine, Florida which is located on Florida’s Northeastern Atlantic coast between the Jacksonville and Daytona Beach. • This National park symbolizes the clash between cultures which resulted in our uniquely unified nation. The park is opened to the public from 8:45 AM to 5:15 pm daily except on December 25. • The reservations are given only to the schools which are requesting a waiver of the entrance fee need a reservation.
De Soto National Memorial: • De Soto National Memorial is named after Spaniard Hernando de Soto when he opposed Native American tribes. This National park is reached with 50 minutes drive from the two major airport namely1. Sarasota-Bradenton Airport (20 miles)2. Tampa International Airport (50 miles)This park is opened daily 9:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. The Ground Park are opened from dawn to dusk, but the gate is closed at 5:00 p.m.There is no overnight camping in the park
Dry Tortugas National Park: • Dry Tortugas National park contains coral reefs and sand, called dry Tortugas. Along with this there is shoals and waters, they all make up this Dry Tortugas National Park. • This park is well known for its famous birds and marine life, its military past and its legends of pirates and sunken gold. There is no road to the park. It can only be reached by boat or seaplane. • The Dry Tortugas National Park is opened during daylight hours and closed at dark. A 50% discount is provided to holders of the Golden Age or Golden Access Pass.
Everglades National Park: • Everglades National Park is the main national park in the state and it is a vast marsh covering much of southern Florida. This is largest subtropical wilderness in the United States and the endangered species. There are many things to explore in Everglades on your own at one of the four visitor centers located in different areas of the park. • It is opened everyday year round and it has park rangers to help you to plan your visit. All visitor centers are made available with maps and brochures to help you prepare for some wonderful adventures in exploring Everglades National Park! • Florida also has Resorts, Theme Parks, State Parks, etc…
