What is battLEDship? • Re-creation of the classic battleship game • Goal: More interactive and technology-oriented game that will appeal to all ages. • Materials used: • RGB Surface-Mounted LEDs • Surface-Mounted Reflective Phototransistor Sensors • Protoboard • Arduino
Issues/Concerns • Issues of LEDs working; Due to the team’s choice of purchasing the LEDs in bulk, there are several that do not work, as shown in the demo. • Intricacy of wire connection; As seen from the demo, the wiring connections are complex and any mistake will jeopardize the functionality of the project. • Debugging and testing the system; After finishing the boards, the team is concerned that a bigger issue may come up, whether it may be the code or the wire connections.
Conclusion • Fun and interactive re-creation of the battleship boardgame. • The team has made quite a bit of progress in the last few months and have made significant decisions to make the goal easier to achieve.
