  3. COURT DEMENSIONS • 30 FEET WIDE • 60 FEET LONG • NET IS 7’ 4” HIGH –(8 feet for men ) • The court is divided into two equal halves by the net

  4. A PLAYER CAN ONLY HIT THE BALL ONE TIME IN A ROW AND NO MORE THAN TWO TIMES THE TEAM CAN ONLY HIT THE BALL 3 TIMES YOU CAN NOT CARRY THE BALL OR CATCH IT NO PALMS THE BALL CAN NOT HIT THE GROUND THE BALL MUST BE HIT IN THE COURT THE LINE IS GOOD THE BALL CAN HIT THE NET ANY TIME RULES

  5. RULES CONTINUED • THE SERVE MUST BE IN CORRECT ROTATION ORDER - CLOCK WISE • FOOT FAULT IS WHEN SERVER TOUCHES OR GOES PAST THE BACK LINE • THE SERVE CAN BE MADE FROM ANY WHERE BEHIND THE BACK LINE. • SIX PLAYERS 3 FRONT - 3 BACK

  6. RULES CONTINUED • PLAYERS MUST BE IN CORRECT POSITION • BACK LINE PLAYERS MUST NOT SPIKE THE BALL IN FRONT OF THE 10 FOOT LINE • THE PLAYERS CAN NOT GO UNDER THE NET • THE PLAYERS CAN NOT TOUCH THE NET

  7. RULES CONTINUED • THERE ARE ONLY SIX PLAYERS ON THE COURT AT TIME • A MATCH CONSISTS OF 5 GAMES • UNSPORTSMANSHIP LIKE CONDUCT • YELLOW CARD • RED CARD - OTHER TEAM RECIEVES A POINT • THE BALL MAY NOT BE CARRIED, THROWN OR LIFTED

  8. SCORING • A MATCH IS THE BEST 3 OUT OF 5 GAMES • A GAME IS PLAYED TO 25 • 21 – MIDDLE • 25 - HIGH SCHOOL • - COLLEGE • MUST WIN BY TWO POINTS
