    2. Investor in Careers Award What is it? A kite mark for quality in careers education information advice and guidance (CEIAG) The most widely used standard of its type in England

    3. Investor in Careers Award Why go for it?

    4. supports inspection self-evaluation: organisations can evidence they have identified strengths and weaknesses thus driving their own improvement and being properly accountable for services.

    5. supports 14-19 education and skills implementation plan which identifies good quality impartial CEG as a high priority for young people to make successful transitions through learning and into employment.

    6. supports the Every Child Matters white paper by contributing significantly to at least three of the outcomes - Enjoy and achieve; Make a positive contribution; Achieve economic well being.

    7. supports 'student voice' by requesting that student views are used to inform the continuous improvement of CEG programmes. Students are also involved in assessments and panels.

    8. supports the wider curriculum by covering personal development learning, work-related and enterprise learning
