  1. Dealing with Fear!

  2. Fear Keeps us from doing what we need to do Can’t serve God the way we should Ruins the relationship we have Hurts our spirituality Commanded not to fear Don’t want to look at fear, it scares us We are afraid that we have fear Many weapons have been given to us to use

  3. Last Time There is too much turmoil in our lives The Comforter has come! We have the presence of the Trinity We can abide IN them and they IN us He gave us His peace It is our choice to walk in it Practice His Presence We must let peace rule by prayer

  4. Fighting Fear Fear of death is the power of the enemy Weapon against it? Go ahead and die Remember His presence with us continually Trust Him and not yourself Grace is God’s love in action Know His peace for you in its depth

  5. Examining our walk We fear all sorts of things Fear of death in many ways Fear is our faith turned sour Unknown forces out of our control We listen to what the world says Tend to ignore what the Lord says World seems to have greater power The Lord is further down the list

  6. Faith isn’t knowing what God can do… Faith is knowing what God will do…

  7. The Fear of Jehovah We don’t fear what we should fear We have treated the power of God lightly Turned into a vending machine He is our servant and lackey He is the God of the Universe What has He truly given to us? His love is immense Do we know it’s true depth?

  8. GOD

  9. The Fear of Jehovah Not fear that keeps us from Him Fear that we alienate the relationship If He were to destroy us because of sin… He would have done it already Placing maximum importance on Him Fearing missing His grace Fearing the hold of idolatry Fearing the depth of the cost to my soul

  10. Hebrews 12:14-15 Eagerly pursue peace and holiness with all, without which no one will see the Lord, watching diligently that not any lack from the grace of God, that "no root of bitterness growing up" may crowd "in on you", and through this many be defiled Forgetting His grace is deadly That is where bitterness comes from This defiles many It starts with relationships

  11. Proverbs 8:13 The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride and loftiness, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth. Evil disrupts my relationship All these destroy me They keep me from Him He loves me and wants me to be close to Him To choose them is to hate Him

  12. Psalm 130:3-4 If You will keep iniquities, O Jehovah, O Lord, who shall stand? But forgiveness is with You that You may be feared. He knows your sin We stand by His grace Do we want our sin back? I fear negating His grace

  13. Psalm 25:10-14 All the paths of Jehovah are mercy and truth to those keeping His covenant and His testimonies. For Your name's sake, O Jehovah, even pardon my iniquity for it is great. What man is he who fears Jehovah? He teaches him the way he should choose. His soul shall abide in good, and his seed shall inherit the earth. The secret of Jehovah is with those who fear Him; and He will make them know His covenant. Learning how to walk in life The secret to life is the covenant

  14. Psalm 86:11 Teach me Your way, O Jehovah; I will walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name. His ways, not my ways Truth vs. lies One heart united with His Mind, will, emotions- salvation of the soul Fear losing His name

  15. Hebrews 5:6-7 As He also says in another place, "You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek," who in the days of His flesh was offering both petitions and entreaties to Him being able to save Him from death, with strong crying and tears, and being heard from His godly fear; Jesus’ fear of doing His own will He feared not doing the Father’s will The power of obedience

  16. Luke 1:49-50 For the Mighty One did great things to me, and holy is His name. And His mercy is to generations of generations to those fearing Him. Mary prophesying Mercy to those who fear Him We gain all He is when we walk with Him, and seek to be obedient

  17. Luke 12:4-5 But I say to you, My friends, stop being afraid of the ones killing the body, and after these things not having anything more they can do. But I will warn you whom you should fear; fear the One who after the killing has authority to cast into Hell; yea, I say to you, Fear that One! We ignore His power What kind of being are we dealing with? We treat Him lightly and off-handedly

  18. Hebrews 10:26-31 For if we are willfully sinning after receiving the full knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice concerning sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and "zealous fire being about to consume the adversaries." If anyone did not regard the Law of Moses, that one dies without pities on "the word of two or three witnesses," how much worse punishment do you think will be thought worthy to receive, the one trampling the Son of God, and having counted common the blood of the covenant in which he was sanctified, and having insulted the Spirit of Grace?

  19. Hebrews 10:26-31 For we know Him who has said, "Vengeance belongs to Me; I will repay," says the Lord. And again, "The Lord will judge His people." It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. The dangers of hardening the heart! I don’t want to negate His grace If we ignore His love, the only thing left is His justice How many times can we say no before He quits asking

  20. Romans 3:13-18 "Their throat is a tomb being opened;" "they used deceit with their tongues; the poison of asps is under their lips; whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery are in their way; and they did not know a way of peace; there is no fear of God before their eyes." Evil and wickedness No relationship with God Can be true about Christians in the flesh

  21. 2 Corinthians 5:10-11 For we all must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive the things done through the body, according to what he did, whether good or bad. Then, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, and we have been known to God; and I also hope to have been known in your consciences. The reason we witness to people We know their outcome better than they do

  22. 2 Corinthians 7:1 Then having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilements of flesh and of spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Who does the work? Defilements of flesh Spiritual defilement, not my spirit Spiritual maturity unto completion Afraid to miss it

  23. Proverbs 1:7 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. It all starts here Getting the relationship right Who is God and who is not Who knows and who doesn’t

  24. Proverbs 9:10 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Wisdom is the practical application Gaining knowledge is good Understanding is better Wisdom is the best It all comes from the Fear of Jehovah

  25. Fear of Jehovah Do we know His power? Are we afraid of alienating Him? Who is the true boss of our lives? We have fear because we don’t have fear If I am trusting me, I should be afraid If I am trusting Him, there is no fear Natural vs. supernatural Walk in the Spirit, walk in the flesh

  26. Any fear that is not the fear of Jehovah is false worship giving false credence to a false god

  27. What is your fear factor? What would change if He were here?

  28. Does He love you? Is He present?

  29. The Fear of Jehovah is the place of safety and peace.
