UAE Government The Government type is Federation Every five years, a new president and vice president are elected by the Supreme Council The leader is Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed A Government of a union of states in which sovereignty is divided between a central authority and component state authorities.

  3. UAE Economy The UAE is an open economy. An open economy is an economy in which international trades take place. An open economy is mostly free from trade barriers. Imports - mostly machinery and transport equipment, chemical and food. Exports - natural gases.

  11. UAE Clothing Men wear the "dishdasha" or " khandura and ankle length robe usually white. Most women wear a black "abaya" a long loose black robe that covers their clothes. They also wear a headscarf called a " shalya".
