The Emirate of FujairahAmong the world's top bunkering and oil storage hubs Selected Projects in Fujairah Fujairah Port Infrastructure • The Fujairah port • Specializes in general cargo, liquid cargo as well as oil and gas • Capacity to increase to 44 million barrels by the end of 2012 • One of the most important ports supplying fuel oil and oil by-products to ships • A hub for maritime logistics as well as for the gigantic expansion related to demands of bunkering ships • Habshan-Fujairah pipeline • 400km with a nominal capacity to transport 1.5 million barrels per day of crude oil. • The pipeline's maximum capacity is 1.8 million barrels per day. GDP $ 2.5 billion Population 137 thousand Fujairah oil storage terminal Mostly mountainous, Fujairah is the only emirate located entirely on the Gulf of Oman. The main industries that the emirate relies on are cement, stone crushing and mining. Fujairah is also developing its shipping port, one of the major port for oil vessels to become a leading oil storage hub. It is also promoting its tourism sector as the emirate is a convenient place for water sports and leisure.
