What is March of Dimes? -A non-profit organization that has “invested over $39 million annually to support research aimed at preventing premature birth, birth defects, and infant mortality. In 2012, more than $375,000 was awarded for cutting edge research in Austin.” -”Each year, the March of Dimes invests nearly $1 million in community grants across the state of Texas to address unmet maternal and child health needs.” -”The March of Dimes works hard to educate both the public and health care professionals about the prevention of prematurity, birth defects, and infant mortality.”
