  2. Long Term Objective Have a nationally integrated operations support program to accomplish the CAP emergency services, counterdrug, and homeland security missions.

Air Force Mission Training $ • Will use NEC approved formula: • Square Miles of the wing – 10% • Total Wing Membership – 15% • Qualified Mission Pilots – 40% • Qualified Mission Observers – 35% • Directed to utilize observer and pilot data in MIMS for distribution in FY05 – that includes roll-ins from WMU, Paperless Wing, and other systems coordinated with CAP/IT & DO. • Funds will be distributed annually to regions based on data currently available for their wings and regions. • Regions can hold training funds for region level training programs, and may re-distribute funds when wings are under executing their programs.

  9. FY03 Mission Results • 112,890 Hours Flown! • Over 9 million marijuana plants located with our support resulting in over 200 arrests! • Over 4,000 Air Force Missions Conducted! • Credited with saving 128 lives!

  11. What is the NTC? • Formed in June of 1997 • Detachment of CAP National Headquarters • Made part of the Operations Directorate • Located on the Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) • Near equipment sources • DoD Logistics Support

  12. What do we do? • Depot-Level Maintenance Facility • Procurement and Distribution of all new Communications & Electronics equipment for CAP Units nationwide • $5.84M just announced for infrastructure replacement • Repair defective units from the field and return to user without charge • Coordinate repairs to equipment by vendors • Engineering assistance and consultation • Avionics Exchange Program • Assigned after the CAP Supply Depot closure

What do we do? • Radio Communications Center • Provides C3 Communications support to CAP Field Operating Units nationwide • Supports other Departments and Agencies as needed • Back-Up to CAP National Operations Center • Operation and Maintenance of Mission Essential Computer Systems • Used daily by CAP units nationwide • Supports some external customers

  14. What do we do? • Maintenance and Storage of CAP Special Activity and Emergency Response Radio Kits • VHF & UHF Portable Radios • VHF & UHF Temp Base Stations • HF-SSB Rapid Deployment Kits
