This guide explains how to start a clicker session, activate the assessment application, and load the class session for recording and review purposes. It also provides instructions for students on how to turn on their clickers and answer questions using the appropriate buttons.

  1. Starting the Clicker Session When you open the slide show you will see the following dialog box asking do you want to activate the clicker session. Select YES.

  2. Starting the Clicker Session The PRS [Personal Response System] assessment application will now load. This application will record the session for review and reporting.

  3. Starting the Clicker Session The assessment application will take a moment to load the class session.

  4. Starting the RF Clicker Session The Start IR class dialog box will display with the assessment application behind it. A generic class has been setup for each room using clickers. Here we see CAT-CL1111 [Center for Advanced Technology Class 1111. Click OK.

  5. Starting the Clicker Session Once the assessment application is fully loaded the PowerPoint presentation will open. You will see a small Interwrite button at the upper left corner of the presentation. You can click on this button to open the assessment title bar or it will automatically open when a question slide comes up.

  6. Starting the Clicker Session Once you have opened the PowerPoint presentation, have the students turn on the clickers by pressing the power button. A green light will come on to indicate the clicker is powered on. Students will then use the appropriate letter or number button on the clicker to answer questions. Remember they must point the clicker at the receiver as they do this.
