  3. Battles with the Philistines 1Sam 4:1 the word of Samuel came to all Israel. Now Israel went out to battle against the Philistines… 1Sam 7:7 the Philistines went up against Israel. 1Sam 13:3 Jonathan attacked the Philistines…the Philistines gathered together to fight with Israel 1Sam 14:4-6 Jonathan sought to go over to the Philistines’ Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the Lord will work for us. For nothing restrains the Lord….” 1Sam 14:52 Now there was fierce war with the Philistines all the days of Saul.

And so it was, whenever they went out, that David behaved more wisely than all the servants of Saul 1Sam 19:8 And there was war again; and David went out and fought with the Philistines, and struck them with a mighty blow, and they fled from him. 1Sam 23:5 David and his men went to Keilah and fought with the Philistines, struck them with a mighty blow

  11. The Emim had dwelt there in times past, a people as great and numerous and tall as the Anakim. They were also regarded as giants, like the Anakim, but the Moabites call them Emim. Deut 2:10-11, 20-21

That was also regarded as a land of giants; giants formerly dwelt there. But the Ammonites call them Zamzummim, a people as great and numerous and tall as the Anakim. Deut 2:10-11, 20-21
