  3. Reporting & evaluation drivers • Data base has collected 163 drivers related to biophysical monitoring • Example Turbidity/water clarity

  4. Need for Rationalisation • Scale • Spatial, time • Gaps & Overlaps • Monitoring, Indicators • $$$$ • Rationalisation based on sound principles • Measure once, report many • Cost Effective, effort efficient

  5. Linkage to today • Rationalisation of all the drivers could be an interesting research exercise in itself – not posed as a topic today but might interest some • Today's working groups: • Small selection of regional and DWLBC people asked to make suggestions for working groups • Topics mainly generated from M&E issues to do with State NRM Plan and NAP & NHT2 programs
