  1. HEATTRANSFER By : Tyler J. Zunich 12/4/2013

  2. THREE TYPES OF HEAT TRANSFER • CONDUCTION: Transfer of heat within a body or between two bodies that are touching. • CONVECTION: Transfer of heat by the circulation or movement of the heated parts of a liquid or gas. • RADIATION : Transfer of energy from a heated surface to its absorption on another surface.

  3. DIFFERENT TYPES OF HEAT TRANSFER OCCUR IN YOUR HOUSE

  4. HEAT ESCAPING THRU THE ROOF OF YOUR HOUSE IS AN EXAMPLE OF CONDUCTION

  5. THE BURNER ON THE STOVE AND POT ON TOP OF IT IS AN EXAMPLE OFRADIATION

  6. THE BOILING WATER IN THE POT IS AN EXAMPLE OF CONVECTION

  7. THE HEAT GIVEN OFF BY THE LAMP IS AN EXAMPLE OFRADIATION

  8. THE WARM AIR ESCAPING WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR OF YOUR HOUSE IS AN EXAMPLE OFCONVECTION

  9. THE HEAT YOU FEEL FROM YOUR FIREPLACE IS AN EXAMPLE OFRADIATION

  10. THE HEAT ESCAPING THRU THE WALLS OF YOUR GARAGE IS AN EXAMPLE OFCONDUCTION

  11. SUN LIGHT BEING REFLECTED OFF YOUR MIRROR IS AN EXAMPLE OFRADIATION

  12. HEAT LOSE THRU YOUR WINDOWS IS AN EXAMPLE OFCONDUCTION

  13. HEAT ESCAPING FROM YOUR CHIMNEY IS AN EXAMPLE OFCONVECTION

  14. IN CONCLUSION: In my own home, there is heat transfer everyday, every second. Weather it be conduction, convection or radiation heat is always being transferred.
